My colleagues will engage in active processing as they learn how to use Google Docs, and gain hands-on experience in using this valuable resource.
Training participants will collaboratively create a lesson plan using Google Docs.
Lesson plan must incorporate technology as students learn academic knowledge.
Lesson plan must address the needs of all learners.
Students will be required to use multimedia as a tool for learning
2. I will probably create a PowerPoint or a screencast to effectively teach about Google Docs. My presentation will be segmented into at least three different categories:
Why should I use Google Docs?
How do I use Google Docs as a person or a teacher?
Who is currently using Google Docs and how are they using it effectively?
3. Graphic Organizer – A concept web or flow chart will be included that highlights the technologicaland educational advantages, and lesson plan ideas for using Google Docs.4. Pre-training – I will conduct a mini-lesson on how to upload files, send emails with and without attachments. People without average computer skills will be overwhelmed during my workshop onGoogle Docs. Therefore, a pre-training session will be given to reduce the amount of anxiety that participants with weak computer skills could experience. 5. Each participant will need access to a computer or laptop that has a good Internet connection. I will also need a projector connected to my laptop with Internet access and speakers. We will also use three computer labs for the authentic assessment.6. Online applications: Youtube videos, Google Docs, Screencast.com, Blogs, Jing, Voki.com, Wiki7. Collaboration: Teachers will collaborate using Google Docs and divide the responsibilities for creating various parts of the lesson plan or instructional assignments. Teachers will be grouped based on grade level and subject area. Teachers will work in groups of three to collaboratively create a technology-based lesson.
